Xmorph Defense: Tower Defense From the Invaders' Side

Xmorph Defense is an unusual mix of top-down shooter and tower defense, where you don't play as Earth's defenders but as the X-Morph invaders themselves. Your goal is to protect the alien resource harvesters, build up your defenses, and repel wave after wave of human forces.

Before each wave there's an unlimited-time preparation phase: you can study enemy types, check their routes, and calmly decide where to place your towers. Defense in Xmorph Defense isn't only about damage — it's also about controlling the path. Towers can be placed almost anywhere on the map and linked together with laser barriers, turning the enemy's route into a maze.

In combat, Xmorph Defense also works as an arcade shooter. Your X-Morph fighter can switch forms to counter different threats: a universal plasma form, a dark matter bomber for ground units, the Shredder against aircraft, and the Laser Destroyer for large single targets. Each form has a basic attack and a charged special mode.

One of the game's standout features is its almost fully destructible environments. Buildings, bridges, and even major city structures can be brought down, and the destruction actually affects the battlefield rather than staying purely visual. Boss fights change the environment too — humans bring in massive war machines, and entire cities end up under fire.

On PC, the game includes several enhancements: unlimited frame rate, 21:9 ultrawide support, customizable keyboard and mouse controls, and NVIDIA Game Ready Certified status. There's also a split screen co-op mode: missions include scenarios built for playing together, enemies attack from new directions, and players can split roles between building towers and attacking directly.
