Wargame: European Escalation
Wargame: European Escalation is a real-time strategy game about military conflict in 1980s Europe, where the Cold War sits on the brink of a Third World War. The game leans into realism, tactical command, and large-scale battles: the canon lists 2 sides, 8 nations, and one main theater of operations — Europe.
Players have more than 350 vehicle and unit models at their disposal. In battle you can command tanks, helicopters, infantry squads, and other unit types. Scale matters here: fights take place on huge maps up to 60 square miles, and you can have hundreds of units under your control.
IRISZOOM and online play
The IRISZOOM ™ technology gets a special mention: it lets you view the battlefield at different distances and makes clashes both spectacular and strategic. The campaign unfolds across Europe, while the EugenNet© online service provides multiplayer with clan creation, match organization, world rankings, and battles for up to 8 players.
The short description also notes that the New Fatal Error DLC includes a new operation of 5 missions and support for touch-screen controls.
