Where Lara Croft's Adventures Began
Tomb Raider I is the very first installment of the iconic series that started Lara Croft's story. It's a classic action-adventure with acrobatics, exploration of ancient tombs, and puzzles, laying the foundation for an entire genre. The original game was created by Core Design, published by Eidos Interactive. On PC the game is available via Steam.
Plot and Gameplay
Lara Croft sets out to find an ancient artifact — the Scion, commissioned by the mysterious Jacqueline Natla. The journey takes the heroine through the lost valleys of Peru, the ruins of Ancient Greece, the sandy tombs of Egypt, and the legendary sunken island of Atlantis. Along the way you'll need to overcome deadly traps, solve spatial puzzles, and fight wild beasts and enemies. The atmosphere of solitude in forgotten ruins and non-linear levels are still considered the gold standard of the series.
