Theatre of War 3: Korea lets you replay the first hot war of the Cold War era: the Korean War, also known as the Forgotten War. The game features two campaigns set in the 1950s: the North Korean campaign from June 25 to August 20, and the American campaign from September 15 to October 8.
This strategy title expands the series with a new strategic layer. Move forces across the Korean Peninsula, manage reserves, fuel, and ammo supplies, then enter tactical battles generated from the current strategic situation. It is built for players who want tactical engagements with broader operational decisions behind them.
Key features include non-linear dynamic campaigns, a campaign generator with an additional USSR faction for what-if scenarios, authentic Korean landscapes and architecture, unique landscape modeling for infantry combat, and new artillery, armor, and aviation units including transport helicopters. The updated control system focuses more on squads, while Engineer Corps actions add real-time mining and demining. A binocular view feature adds extra battlefield immersion.
