The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd is an RPG by Nihon Falcom set six months after the events of Trails in the Sky Second Chapter. Liberl is at peace once again, but ancient artifacts continue to awaken greed in those who already hold power and status.

At the center of the story is Father Kevin Graham, a high-ranking member of the Gralsritter order within the Septian Church. After another successful mission, he receives a new assignment: to retrieve an artifact hidden beneath the Grancel Cathedral. This time, Kevin must act not alone, but alongside a new recruit of the order and his childhood friend, Sister Ries Argent.

What begins as a routine mission quickly turns into a journey through the mysterious world of Phantasma, governed by strict and unusual rules. Here, the history of the Septian Church and the past of familiar heroes who fought for Liberl's future are revealed. The game focuses on a more personal adventure: as you progress, Moon and Star doors open, offering deeper insight into the characters.

The combat system retains the series' familiar tactical foundation, but The 3rd is considered one of the most difficult entries in Trails. You can play through the story on Easy or challenge yourself on the merciless Nightmare difficulty. The soundtrack by Falcom Sound Team jdk adds dozens of new tracks for the journey through Phantasma, and fans of Olivier will find even more of his involvement here.
