The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky

The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky — the first chapter of the Trails saga and a classic turn-based JRPG from Nihon Falcom and XSEED Games. The story unfolds in the Kingdom of Liberl, where society was transformed by the Orbment Revolution: orbment energy brought airships, technology, and rapid progress, but also new weapons and conflicts.

At the heart of the story are the Bracers, an organization that helps citizens, investigates crimes, hunts monsters, and mediates in complex disputes. When an orbment airship carrying the legendary S-rank bracer Cassius Bright suddenly disappears, his daughter Estelle and adopted son Joshua set out to search across all of Liberl. Along the way they meet Scherazard, Olivier, and other characters, and their journey gradually reveals the hidden side of the kingdom.

The game averages over 50 hours of playtime and focuses on strategic turn-based combat with deep customization, a large number of side quests, collectible items, and secrets. The world is meticulously crafted: NPCs have names and personalities, cities have their own politics and economic concerns, and story and historical details matter to the overall lore.

The PC version supports a wide range of fullscreen and widescreen resolutions, including 1080p HD, USB gamepad, keyboard, and mouse controls, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Steam Trading Cards. Also available are difficulty selection, New Game+ on subsequent playthroughs, battle voice acting, and a Retry Offset feature that can lower battle difficulty after repeated attempts.
