Star Wars Jedi Knight Mysteries of the Sith is an expansion to the shooter Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II by LucasArts. The story unfolds five years after Kyle Katarn's victory over the seven dark Jedi. Imperial forces attack a quiet Rebel base and interrupt the training of Mara Jade — Kyle's new apprentice, familiar to fans from Timothy Zahn's novel Heir to the Empire.

Mara Jade combines her past as a smuggler and Emperor's Hand with the path of a Jedi Knight. She must defend the Rebel base, secure supplies needed by the New Republic, face Ka'Pa Hutt, and hold out against the enemy onslaught. Meanwhile, Kyle follows his own destiny, searching for secrets hidden within an ancient Sith temple.

The expansion brings Jedi Knight fans a new experience: 14 levels and 13 locations, including vamp-infested swamps, Ka'Pa Hutt's fortress, and the underground catacombs of the temple on Dromund Kaas. The arsenal includes 4 new weapons, among them a carbonite cannon, a rapid-fire blaster, and a sniper scope. Also available are 5 new Force powers, including Force Push, Saber Throw, and Force Projection.

More than two dozen new enemies await: gladiators, assassin droids and executioner droids, pirate raiders, Sith creatures, and the formidable rancor. For multiplayer, 3 new characters have been added, each with different stats, weapons, and inventory, along with the Kill the Fool with the Ysalamiri mode.
