Spacebase Df9 is an indie simulation and strategy game about building a home among the stars. You'll create a space base for a mixed population of humans and aliens living out their daily lives in Earth's far future.

The core of the game is growing the base from a small oxygenated room into a full, thriving, well-designed hub. Expansion relies on available materials: mine resources from nearby asteroids, unlock new sections, and gradually add essential zones. Buildings include gardens, pubs, gyms, research rooms, and other base facilities.

In Spacebase Df9, building isn't the only concern — you also need to manage your residents. Assign citizens to duties, keep track of tasks critical for survival, and account for their needs. The balance between work and morale affects the overall state of the base, so simply expanding without managing your people and aliens won't solve every problem.

Space is dangerous in the game: meteor strikes, explosive decompression, and isolation are all part of the galactic resettlement. Mysterious abandoned ships may appear near the base, and you can send security forces to investigate them. You'll also have to fend off hostile invaders and parasites, building turrets to defend the base.

Research is a separate area of progress. The game lets you study new equipment, armor, weapons, and base constructions, find technology blueprints on abandoned ships, and research cures for deadly space diseases.
