What Is RoadOut?
RoadOut is a post-apocalyptic action RPG developed by Rastrolabs Game Studio and published by DANGEN Entertainment. Released for PC in May 2026, the game combines two genres: top-down twin-stick combat on foot and arcade racing behind the wheel.
You play as Claire, a mercenary who takes on sabotage, delivery, and elimination contracts across a devastated region known as The Dead Zone. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where artificial intelligence seized power after a global catastrophe, while humans survive in scattered rebel gangs.
Gameplay: Between Dungeons and Racetracks
RoadOut alternates between two gameplay modes. In open areas, you explore the ruined world by car. When you enter dungeons, the game switches to on-foot combat and puzzles, with mechanics inspired by The Legend of Zelda series. The racing draws on genre classics such as Rock'n Roll Racing, while the urban environments and gangs evoke the spirit of the early GTA games. The developers describe RoadOut as a story-driven adventure featuring character progression, cybernetics, and full racing competitions.
