Paranormasight The Mermaid's Curse is a new story set in the PARANORMASIGHT universe by Square Enix. It takes players to Ise-Shima, a region of Japan closely tied to legends of mermaids. This is a supernatural visual novel with a bittersweet tale of youth, curses, and secrets long hidden in the mists of the past.
At the heart of the story is the secluded island of Kameshima in Ise Bay. Yuza Minakuchi, a young pearl diver, lives on the island and spends his days underwater alongside his best friend Azami Kumoi. After a strange, supernatural encounter with another version of himself on the seabed, curses begin to strike the island one after another.
The investigation brings together a cast of very different characters: a girl of unknown origin, a treasure hunter from distant lands, and a mysterious housewife studying a drowning case. Their paths intertwine, and their contrasting views on the matter draw them step by step toward unraveling the mystery of the Mermaids of Ise.
