Jazzpunk is an adventure game where the creators mixed their favorite books, films, and the atmosphere of cyberpunk and noir genres. Here you'll find a world where the focus is not on puzzles, but on exploration and humor.

Plot

The action takes place on planet Earth, in an ordinary world with a 1950s atmosphere, in a fictional location called Japanada. A top-secret spy agency operates from an abandoned subway station. The player controls a character named Polyblank, who carries out missions assigned by the head of the organization.

The missions are almost always bizarre and absurd. For example, each one begins with taking a dose of prescription medication. Among the tasks are demagnetizing and smuggling pigeons, eliminating cowboys, dressing up, and photocopying.

Gameplay

The core of the game is exploration and comedy, not puzzle-solving. Each mission has a main objective, but the player can freely explore a world filled with many creatures and objects. There are also many mini-games.

The controls are simple: using the keyboard, the character moves in all directions, jumps, switches inventory items, and interacts with highlighted objects. The mouse controls the camera and view.

Bonus Mode

The "Wedding Quake" mode lets players shoot AI-controlled enemies with wedding weapons — wedding cake, roses, champagne corks — in the spirit of a Quake deathmatch.
