Hunt: Showdown 1896 — Steam Key

What Is Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter from Crytek, released on August 27, 2019. The game combines hunting supernatural monsters with harsh PvP: you either escape with the map or lose everything, including the Hunter itself. Several teams track the same target at once — and can clash with each other at any moment.

Gameplay: Tactics and Survival

Players have access to a rich arsenal of period-appropriate weapons, gear, and items — a beetle or a tarot card can prove just as useful as a rifle. The game rewards tactical thinking: ambushes, initiative-seizing assaults, and unconventional loadouts built around your playstyle all work. At the same time, the inventory is deliberately streamlined — the focus stays on playing, not sorting loot.

Hunters can be kept alive and leveled up, but strong gear never ensures survival. This is a deliberate design choice by Crytek — the tension holds because losses are real.

Who This Game Is For

Hunt: Showdown 1896 suits players looking for a high-stakes extraction shooter with atmosphere. It isn't an arcade shooter — every raid demands focus. The game is available on PC via Steam.
