What Is Giana Sisters 2D
Giana Sisters 2D is the HD remake of the 2009 Nintendo DS version, released on Steam on October 23, 2015. It was developed by Kasaa Solution and published by HandyGames. The game belongs to the action and indie genres.
The series' roots go even deeper: the original The Great Giana Sisters was released on the Commodore 64 and became one of the first platformers on that system. Even though sales were halted shortly after release, the game achieved cult status, and Giana herself became an iconic figure in video game history.
In 2009 the series got a second wind: Giana Sisters DS launched the modern branch of the franchise, followed by Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and Giana Sisters: Dream Runners. Giana Sisters 2D is that very DS version, reworked in HD and brought to PC.
