eXceed 3rd - Jade Penetrate Black Package is an action game for PC from developer Tennen-sozai and publisher Nyu Media. Released on August 2, 2012, it reboots the eXceed storyline and takes the series in a new direction.
You play as Rayne Lindwurm, a descendant of the Dragon Clan, as she fights through a tournament in Pandemonium. Her goal is to become one of the 7 Cardinal Lords who rule the world. Rivals, familiars, and even her older sister Celestia Lindwurm stand in her way.
Combat focuses on precise movement through dense bullet curtains. Rayne uses Mini-Tiamats, bombs, and the Burn Air Raid homing special attack, while a slowdown feature helps with careful maneuvering. The game also includes multiple scoring systems, bullet grazing, bullet cancelling, localized cut scenes, memorable bosses, and dynamic difficulty balancing based on player skill.
