eden* is an adventure visual novel for PC from the studio minori, released in English by publisher MangaGamer. It tells a story set in the near future, where an ominous red star suddenly appears in the sky. Its arrival threatens to wipe out all life on Earth, and a unified government tries to save humanity through a massive evacuation project into space.

To carry out this nearly impossible plan, people create "Felixes" — genetically modified superhumans with high intelligence, eternal youth, and longevity. The most gifted of them, Sion, has lived for a hundred years in a research facility on a secluded island. Her purpose is to save humanity, but Sion herself desperately seeks freedom from the military that keeps her locked away.

Ryo Haruna, a soldier of Earth's unified government, arrives on the island to watch over Sion. Against the backdrop of a dying planet, the last love story on Earth unfolds — quiet, dramatic, and cinematic.

eden* stands out in its presentation: instead of the sprites and "talking heads" common to many visual novels, the game relies almost entirely on event illustrations, widescreen visuals, music, and minori's expressive visual style. It feels closer to watching a film than reading an ordinary book.
