The story begins when programmer Arata Mizunashi receives an email from his missing colleague Shina Ninomiya and discovers that she is trapped inside the virtual game world they built together, World's Odyssey.

Shina is the only player left in W.O.D., and the way out is brutal: she has to clear the game and reach the true ending, which has a success rate of just 1%. The narrative weaves the in-game world together with reality, letting you move between both sides to learn how World's Odyssey really works and what is keeping Shina locked inside.

Combat is built on a turn-based battle system with knockback mechanics and genre-shifting moments that briefly switch into shooter and fighting-game styles. Each character also brings unique field skills you will need to reach hard-to-access areas and dig out hidden treasures.
