About Borderlands 4
Borderlands 4 is a frenetic looter shooter about guns, chaos, and battles on the dangerous, hidden planet Kairos. Developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K, the game lets you choose one of four new Vault Hunters, break free from the tyrannical Timekeeper, and unleash Mayhem in a world where order is collapsing under catastrophe.
In Borderlands 4 you'll find billions of wild and deadly weapon variants, deep skill trees, powerful Action Skills, and dynamic movement — double jumps, gliding, dodges, a grappling hook, and other ways to strike enemies from every direction. Building your character revolves around loot, class abilities, and the constant hunt for stronger gear.
You can play solo, but Borderlands 4 truly shines in online co-op for up to 4 players. Level scaling and individual difficulty settings let a group tackle missions, hunt for loot, and freely explore Kairos together. An internet connection is required for online play, and a SHiFT account is needed for crossplay.
The world of Kairos is split among warring factions and filled with dangerous zones — from lush fields and mountain peaks to deadly deserts. Ride a hoverbike, complete missions, take part in dynamic events, and rally the planet's inhabitants for revolution.
Additional content is planned after launch: the Bounty Pack Bundle, with four post-release DLC, is included in the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions, while the Vault Hunter Pack, with two post-release DLC, is included in the Super Deluxe Edition. Exact DLC release dates are to be announced separately and may change.
