Arknights is a free-to-play tactical RPG and tower defense mobile game developed and published by Hypergryph. The core gameplay is built around placing characters called operators on tiles, where they act as towers and stop enemies from infiltrating your base.
The game was first released in China on 1 May 2019, followed by other countries on 16 January 2020 and Taiwan on 29 June 2020. Arknights is available worldwide on Android and iOS, with a Windows version available for the Chinese server only.
As you progress, you unlock more stages, operators, resources, enemy types, and gameplay mechanics. Arknights also includes a base-building system where you construct facilities and assign operators to them. Three seasons of an anime adaptation aired from late 2022 to 2025.
