Volume

Volume is an indie stealth-action game developed and published by Bithell Games. Set in the same timeline as Thomas Was Alone, it takes place after that game’s events and reimagines the Robin Hood story for a modern world.

You play as Robert, a thief who steals a mysterious device called Volume. The device can simulate heists, and Robert uses it to stream his missions online while attempting to resist a military coup.

Gameplay is heavily inspired by the Metal Gear Solid series, including its top-down third-person camera style. Across 100 levels, your goal is clear: collect every gem, unlock the exit point, and escape as quickly as possible without being spotted by guards.

Volume is built around non-lethal stealth. You cannot kill guards, but as the game progresses you unlock a range of gadgets that help distract them and create new routes through each mission. Your performance is tracked on global leaderboards, giving the game strong replay value for players who want cleaner, faster runs.

The game also includes a level editor, letting players create their own missions. Before sharing a custom level with the community, you must complete it yourself.
